Our founder, Jeff Clearwater, has been installing passive and active solar thermal and electric systems, wind generators, microhydro generators, building electric vehicles, and teaching about renewable energy since 1979 when he recieved his engineering certificate in Alternative Energy Systems at the Evergreen State College - one of the very first renewable energy accredidations available in the industry. Village Power has served over 120 residential, commerical and developing world customers in the U.S., Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, Turkey, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Jeff is renewable energy consultant to the Global Ecovillage Network and the Ecovillage Network of the Americas and has taught at United Nations training sessions in Sustainability and Renewable Energy.
